We’ve all heard that the unemployment rate unexpectedly increased in May and that jobs haven’t come back at the rate everyone has been hoping. We don’t know for sure when hiring will pick up, but we know that the unemployment rate won’t decrease until hiring from small businesses, and privately-held companies more generally, increases.
